إستضافت جمعية الشبيبة اللبنانية في بيروت وبالتنسيق مع كل من شركة الناطق وجمعية الصداقة في الأردن الأستاذ محمد الشرع بهدف عقد دورة تدريبية على الهال لطلبة ومنتسبي الجمعية, وقد تم تنظيم تلك الدورة التي استغرقت اسبوع في مقر الجمعية. ومن الجدير بالذكر أن جمعية الشبيبة سبق وأن نَصَّبَت عدد غير قليل من برامج الهال كما شرعت بالتدريب عليه. وبالإضافة إلى برنامج الهال، نصبت جمعية الشبيبة برنامج التعرف الضوئي على الحروف OCR والذي تستخدمه في تحويل النصوص المطبوعة في كتب الأطفال إلى ملفات رقمية يسهل تحويلها إلى ملفات قياسية رقمية وصوتية.
وقد أشاد الأستاذ الشرع بحسن إستضافة الجمعية كما أثارت إمكانيات فريق جمعية الشبيبة بمهنيته وتنظيمه إعجاب الزميل محمد لتعاونها وتسخيرها كافة الإمكانات المتاحة في خدمة الكفيف بشكل عام. تأتي هذه الدورة رفداً للجهود المخلصة التي بذلها وما زال يبذلها الزميل بديع زينون في لبنان من خلال مواصلته لتقديم خدمات التدريب والدعم الفني في كل من سوريا ولبنان. إذ يتابع الزميل بديع مع عدد من المؤسسات اللبنانية والسورية والتي تم تنصيب برامج الهال والماسح الضوئي فيها.
