إلتقينا مع تنفيذي من مؤسسة هاويبريس الأمريكية والمطورة لآلات بيركينز الشهيرة حيث أطلعنا على آخر المستجدات لديهم والمتمثلة بإطلاق الجيل الجديد من آلات بيركينز الشهيرة والمستخدمة لكتابة البرايل على الآوراق. ومن أهم مميزات الجيل الجديد من آلات بيركينز هو التالي:
- الآلة أصبحت 25 بالمائة أخف من الآلة الكلاسيكية السابقة
- المفاتيح تتطلب مجهود أخف من الأصابع لضغطها وإنجاز الطباعة بواسطتها
- إزعاج أقل للمفاتيح أثناء الطباعة
- صوت جرس نهاية السطر أقل إزعاجا
- شكل إنسيابي أكثر بالنسبة للآلة بشكل عام
