يوجد هذا الزر على يسار صحيفة صفات النطق وهو واحد من ثمانية أزرار متتالية ومرتبة بشكلعمودي. ويؤدي الضغط على هذا الزر إلى فتح مربع حوار يحتوي على تحكمات من نوع مربعات الاختيار. والوضع الافتراضي هو تفغيل الترديد الألي لجميع المفاتيح بحيث يؤدي الضغط على المفتاح إلى نطق وصف ذلك المفتاح. فعلى سبيل المثال إذا
انتقلت إلى سطح المكتب وتستطيع الوصول إليه بالضغط على مفتاح النوافذ وحرف D أو حرف الياء. يؤدي الضغط على مفتاح الهروب أو Escape إلى نطق المفتاح وهو الهروب.
إذا أردت تعطيل نطق اسم المفتاح إتبع الخطوات التالية :
-عد إلى مربع حوار نطق لوحة المفاتيح وذلك بالضغ المتزامن على مفتاح Alt ومفتاح Tab بحيث تبقي Alt مضغوطا ريثما تنقر على مفتاح Tab حتى آلة النطق تعلن عن الوصول إلى لوحة التحكم.
-اضغط مفتاح المسافة لتعطيل الوضع الافتراضي وهو ترديد آلي للمفتاح.
-اضغط مفتاحTAB للوصول إلى مربع اختيار الهروب
-اضغط مفتاح المسافة لإزالة علامة الصح والذي يؤدي إلى تعطيل نطق مفتاح الهروب.
-اضعط على مفتاح طبق التغييرات.
-اضغط على مفتاح موافق.
عند انتقالك إلى سطح المكتب الآن والضعط على مفتاح الهروب، تلاحظ أن آلة النطق لا تنطق اسم مفتاح الهروب.
وتستطيع إتباع التعليمات المذكورة أعلاه مرة أخرى للعودة إلى الوضع الافتراضي.
