يكاد لا يختلف إثنان على قوة برنامج هال وقدرته على محاكاة جميع متطلبات الكفيف ولكن كثر الجدل حول جودة النطق ومدى أهميته للكفيف. فلقد تعاقب تطوير النطق إبتداء من صوت سعيدة إلى صوت سلمى بدون التحويل الآلي بين العربية والإنجليزية إلى صوت سلمى مقترنا مع صوت Heather وتحويل آلي بين اللغتين بسرعة فائقة وإنتهاء بإضافة صوت يوسف مقترنا بصوت Ryan. ويستمر التطوير على آلة النطق وصولا إلى مرحلة إضافة أداة يستطيع من خلالها الكفيف إضافة الكلمات التي يريد لبرنامج الهال أن ينطقها بجودة عالية. وتعمل هذه الآداة على قاموس للنطق خاص ببرنامج هال.
وتُشكِلُ هذه الإضافة تطورا هاما يستطيع سائر المستخدمين المشاركة في تحسين النطق في برنامج هال. ونأمل أن يقوم كافة المستخدمين بإضافة الكلمات وتشكيلها تشكيلا صحيحا بحيث تُنطَقُ بشكل سليم ومن ثم مشاركة عملهم مع مستخدمين آخرين.
